One of our favorite books at Books & Company this past year has been Patti Smith’s wonderful wonderful story, Just Kids.
An autobiography of her early days in New York in the 1970′s and in particular her relationship with photographer Robert Mapplethorpe. Even with very limited knowledge of the two, this book is one of the most beautiful descriptions of what it means to be true soul mates.
It is therefore very exciting that Patti Smith will be attending the Louisiana Museum of Modern Art’s Literature Festival on August 23rd, 2012.
