Books & Company is a book café located at the heart of the international community of Hellerup, just north of Copenhagen.
Books & Company opened its doors in 2009 and quickly established itself as Copenhagen’s only bookshop dedicated to stocking a wide range of English books including the latest fiction, non-fiction, cook books, art and coffee table books, travel literature, and books for children and young adults. We can order books on request from our British and US distributors, and have a variety of international newspapers and magazines. Books & Company serves coffee, speciality tea and juices, and free wifi is available.
We host a popular weekly “storytime” session for toddlers, as well as evening talks and workshops for adults. Past topics include “Shakespeare in Venice”, “Tea with Jane Austen”, “Oscar Wilde’s Final Days of Freedom” ‘Perfectionism’, “Warm Up to COP15″, “Trine Hahnemann and Scandinavian Cooking” and an evening all about Karen Blixen.
