Join us for an evening all about Copenhagen!

Anyone who has spent just a couple of seasons in this city knows that it changes character in the Spring. Doors and windows are flung open, strangers are suddenly chatting on the street and smiles are more readily available. This is when Copenhagen is at its most beautiful - the city so often heralded as ‘the most livable city in the world’.

This is the city French architect and designer Lawrence Ebelle found when she moved here. Fascinated by the nature of the different and diverse neighborhoods, she decided to bring together stories told by the city’s inhabitants in their own words as they described their favorite views.

About the book
‘Beyond the Window Sill’ is one of the most beautiful books on Copenhagen to ever come across our counter!

The book depicts Copenhagen’s neighborhoods, from Indre By (The Inner City) to Sydhavnen and Nordvest and is accompanied by the loveliest watercolors by illustrator Puk Ewdokia. The stories bring together our common past as well as what ties the city and its inhabitants together.

The book’s preface is written by Camilla van Deurs, City Architect of Copenhagen and Francois Zimeray, the former French ambassador to Denmark, .
