Book Club 'Smarter Every Page'
Smarter every page is a book club devoted to just that; to selection and discussions of books that we hope will make us just that little bit wiser than before. It is a non-fiction (mostly) book club where we explore subjects on a theme basis.
The members suggest, vote on, and then select themes that interest us and then select books that fit, broadly, into those themes. The last themes have included “Personality” and “India”. We have themes of (1) Spies, Spooks and Foreign Policy, (2) Japan, (3) Generations (X, Y, Z and beyond), (4) China and (5) Artificial Intelligence. However, the members are encouraged to either propose themes or books for the future and we try to aim for three books per theme.
The group is diverse in terms of gender, nationality, age, and careers, and our discussions are always interesting.
The book club is led by Ravinder Chahil who has led the club since the end of 2025. We also welcome shadow members if you cannot make the commitment but just want to follow along with the books that we read.
Please contact Rikke if you’re interested in joining this bookclub.
