We are delighted to welcome Inge-Birgitte Siegumfeldt, pre eminent expert on the authorship of Paul Auster, for an evening focused on the work of this bestselling, and beloved, American author.
Most of Paul Auster's novels are translated into more than forty languages. Some have already gone down in history as 'great American novels,' others remain prominent bestselling literary works.
What is it about this body of books and films that is so compelling? How come Auster's stories speak to readers across boundaries of age, gender, ethnicity, political persuasion, social class?
We will address these questions and many more, for, more so than many Anglophone writers, Auster's writings invite all kinds of discussion and talk.
