We are excited to welcome cook, author and broadcaster Rachel Khoo to the shop for a talk about her latest book, The Smallest Restaurant in Paris’.

In this warm, illustrated memoir, Rachel traces the years that took her from a secure London office job to a Bastille bedsit, working odd jobs, living in rented rooms; through kitchen mishaps and small triumphs, as she slowly finds her confidence, creativity and belonging in a city where these things do not come easily.

Part memoir, part recipe collection, each chapter pairs an intimate story of Parisian life with a recipe and hand-drawn illustration by the author. The Smallest Restaurant in Paris is a portrait of a young woman finding her voice, one small, brave step at a time.
