It is with great pleasure that we invite you to an evening of conversation about a topic so many of us are experiencing these days, and one that seems so difficult to grapple with.
So it’s a good thing there are experts who can help us think things through, in this case senior researcher, PhD in Philosophy and author Benjamin Miguel Olivares Bøgeskov who will join us for an evening all about moral stress and the need for repair.
In recent years, the need to distinguish stress from moral stress has become increasingly clear. Unlike ordinary stress, moral stress arises when people feel unable to act according to their values or moral convictions. Especially in contexts that demand care, responsibility, and compassion, it involves more than exhaustion and may carry an experience of moral failure.
This talk explores the nature and causes of moral stress and asks how we might respond to it. In doing so, it invites a reflection on rest, not merely as recovery, but as a form of moral repair.
