We are thrilled to welcome Sarah Freiesleben to Books & Company for an evening of exploring how we can move beyond certainty, embrace complexity, and discover the possibilities that emerge when we pay attention to what matters most.
When faced with complex challenges, most of us have been taught to seek certainty, follow proven solutions, and silence what appears irrelevant or disruptive. But what if the perspectives, differences, and uncertainties we dismiss as “noise” are exactly where new possibilities begin?
In The Opposite of Noise, Sarah Freiesleben explores how individuals can tap into their own agency and become active participants in creating change.
By learning to work with complexity rather than against it, readers discover how to listen for weak signals, embrace diverse perspectives, navigate uncertainty, and influence the systems they are part of.
Blending science, story, and practical insight, the book offers a hopeful vision of how meaningful change emerges, not from attempting to predict or control the future, but from showing up, paying attention, and taking the next right step.
