We are delighted to announce an evening with two esteemed Danish poets: Marianne Larsen and Niels Hav. Each poet will present a selection of their poems, recently translated and published in English. Following the readings, there will be an engaging dialogue between the poets and the audience. Join us for an inspiring literary event!
About the Poets
Marianne Larsen, born 1951 in Kalundborg, Denmark. She debuted in 1971 with the prose/poem collection: “Concentrations”. She has published a number of poetry collections and novels and children's books, as well as written plays. She has published books in the USA, England, Turkey, Bosnia, and Sweden, and also has poetry published in many foreign literary journals. Latest poetry collections: Events in stressed melancholia 2015, and time in a wild state against my skin 2016, Swoon Out 2018, the morning I happened not to be an insect in September 2021.
Niels Hav, born 1949, is the author of ten volumes of prose and poetry. His books are widely translated into languages as Portuguese, English, Arabic, Turkish, Dutch, Farsi, Serbian, and Kurdish. His most recent book Moments of Happiness was published by Anvil Press in Vancouver.
